This is a view of Turners store about 1903.The Post Office was in the shop. The lady in a white blouse, at the front of the shop is Jemima Slaughter, wife of Gentleman Jim. The man with the bike is standing by the coalyard gates. The gap between the buildings, behind Mrs. Slaughter is the passage to St Georges Cottages. This photo was taken from somewhere between the modern Post Office and Tescos. It's where the off licence is now.
This photo and information was supplied by Gentleman Jim's Grandson. Jim Slaughter.
