An old Ariel photograph taken in 1947

This photo was taken looking towards Windsor the large junction in the foreground is the junction of Clewer Hill Road, Dedworth Road and Smiths lane.

Stuarts Way is still under construction and it looks as if Mansell close has just started interestingly St George's close and houses to the North are still fields!

In the bottom right corner you can see the start of the "Prefabs" built after WW2 as emergency housing. (These were demolished in the mid 70's)
